Lingerie Soldier Papillon Rose:

Lingerie Soldier Papillon Rose started back in 2000 on the internet as an fake ONA (Original Net Animation) but was never truly animated into any episodes until 2003 when the release of a single OVA (Original Video Animation) episode, 'Tsubomi no Yume wa Yoru Hiraku' was released. Papillon Rose goes as far as it can to parody other anime (and video games), mostly Sailor Moon with it's storyline, but including other titles such as Cutey Honey, Digi Charat, Sakura Taisen, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Tokimeki Memorial, and Street Fighter.

Throughout the years Papillon Rose has gained more fake seasons which parodied seasons of Sailor Moon. Papillon Rose R (parodied the R and S seasons of Sailor Moon by including Sailor Chibi Moon, Uranus, and Neptune-like characters and taking the storyline directly from Sailor Moon R) and Papillon Rose G (parodied Sailor Moon S by adding in a Sailor Saturn-like character). Papillon Rose R was catalogued in a book released by OfficeF&O in 2002 which contained 'episode' images (which 90% of which were modeled off the Ah! Megami-sama movie), 'episode' summaries, character biographies, song lyrics, and interviews. Papillon Rose G was catalogued on the official website between 2004 and 2005, though the majority of it's contents (including the entire storyline) stayed hidden from public eyes in the directories of the website.

At the beginning of 2005 the official website closed down, and hope of any future for the 'series' was lost until the end of the year when announcements turned up on the internet of an upcoming television series adaptation. However due to the extreme differences between the previous incarnations of Lingerie Soldier Papillon Rose and the currently running Papillon Rose New Season television series, I will have to leave that subject for another fanlisting.
